C TENDENCY LEVELS IN TERMS OF VARIOUS VARIABLES
ABSTRACT
Empathic tendency skill is one of the characteristics the teacher needs to have in an effective education environment. Teachers are required to have an empathic understanding for students especially in preschool education to develop positive self, to communicate effectively with their teachers and families, and to realize themselves. We can express aim of the study conducted in this direction as investigation of empathic tendency levels of preservice teachers of preschool education in terms of various variables such as occupation of parents, and parental educational level. The sample of the study conducted with correlational survey model consisted of 209 preservice teachers studying at Preschool Education Department of Faculty of Education of Pamukkale University. Empathic Tendency Scale
was used to collect data of the study. Internal consistency coefficient of the scale was 0.81 and the scale consists of three subscales empathic tendency, egocentric tendency, and sympathetic tendency. SPSS 23 packaged
software was used for data analysis. Kruskal Wallis H test was used to determine differentiation of preservice s of the study were examined, it was determined that there was a significant correlation (p<0.05) between the significant correlation between (p>0.
