Course Content

The main topic of the course is quantitative analysis. Stıudents perform volumetric analysis (redox, precipitation and complexation titrations) and instrumental analysis such as optical methods (spectrophotometry, colorimetry, fluorescence, polarimetry and refractometry) chromatographic methods (Paper, TLC and HPLC) and electroanalytical methods (voltammetry, potentiometry and conductometry). The main analytes are active pharmaceutical ingredients at these analyses. Calculations and evaluation of test results are also included in this course.

Goals of the course

Students

 Learn and apply laboratory rules strictly

 Calculate test results and evaluate them

 Operate techniques of volumetric analysis such as titrations

 Discover basic instrumental analysis.
