Abstract:Alternaraspeces are common n nature (sol, ar, plants, anmals, etc) and can saprophytc, endophytc and pathogenc especally n plants. Now, t s dffcult to soluton all taxonomcal problems only by morphologcal-colonal methods of mentoned genus wthout molecular studes. Accordng to the current publcatons,Alternaracomplex has 9 genera and 23 sectons. Number of speces s more than 275. The purpose of ths study s to document theAlternaraspeces solated from Turkey wth ther subtrates and/or habtat. Ths checklst revews approxmately 132 publshed fndngs and presents a lst of Alternara speces. Accordng to the present publcatons, 30Alternaraspeces have been recorded wth varous subtrates/habtats n Turkey. Among these speces,Alternara alternata and Alternara ctrspeces are the most common speces reported from Turkey. The other speces are A. arborescens, A. botryts, A. brassccola,

Öz:Alternara türlerdoğada (toprak, hava, btk, hayvanlar, v.s) çok yaygındır ve saproftk, endoftk ve özellkle btklerde patojenk olablrler. Bu çalışma, özellkleWeb of Scencevertabanı kapsamında ve Türkye adreslolan dergler, dğer dergler, ktapları ve kongre bldrlerndkkate almıştır. 01 Ocak 1900-20 Mayıs 2015 tarhlerarasında, Thomson-ReutersWeb of Scencevertabanında anahtar kelme olarak “Alternara” kullanıldığı zaman, 8669 yayın akrana gelmekte ve bunun 7345'tam makale olarak görülmektedr. Bu 8669 yayının lk üçü aşağıdakblmsel dsplnlerde yer almaktadır: Btkblmler: 2642; Zraat: 1686; Byoteknoloj-Uygulamalı Mkrobyoloj: 699. Bu sonuçlar, son yıllarda Alternara cnsle lglyayınların arttığını göstermektedr. 2010-2014 yılları arasında 2342 yayın ve 16 Aralık 2014-20 Mayıs 2015 arasında se 225 yayın yapılmıştır. Alternara speces are common n nature (sol, ar, plants, anmals, etc) and can saprophytc, endophytc and pathogenc especally n plants. Some speces may cause pathogenc n humans (onycomycoss) (121). Identfcaton ofAlternaraspeces are not easy and although taxonomy ofAlternaraspeces are generally based on colonal and morpholo-gcally, we can not soluton all taxonomcal problems ofAlternaragenus va morphologcal and colonal characterstcs. So, we should be use also molecular characterstcs of ths genus. Alternara complex has 9 genera and 23 sectons.
Alternara was frst tme descrbed by Nees n 1816 (33). Although Ells (120) publshed mportant book about especally A l t e r n a r a, C l a d o s p o r u m a n d Helmnthosporum genera n 1971, there s no any comprehensve and detaled monograph favour for dentfcaton aboutAlternaraGenus untl the year of 2007. One of the mportant manual s publshed by Smmons n 2007 (34); ths book contan 275 Alternaraspeces. Also Smmons publshed the other artcles such as “Alternara themes and varatons (106-111) n 1 9 9 4 ( 1 1 8 ) ” ; “ N o v e l d e m a t a c e o u s hyphomycetes” (119), etc. Also Woudenberg et al. (33)'s study s new and and very mportant about taxonomy of Alternara that publshed n 2013. So, we can be found more nformaton about taxonomy of Alternara Genus from Woudenberg et al.'s (33) and Smmon's studes (34). Also Samson et al. (122) descrbed as color llustratons of three Alternara speces (A. arborescens A. , nfectoraandA. tenussma) n
ther study n 2010; but mentoned study s not a Alternara monograph, t s related about mportant food and ndoor fung. The most common meda s PDA (Potato dextrose agar) and PCA (potato carrot agar) (122) for growng ofAlternaraspp.
Accordng to the Woudenberg et al. There s nterestng result because of Bochemstry & Molecular Bology area was thrd order n December 16, 2014 but t s 10th order n May 20, 2015! These results ndcated that there have been many scentfc studes aboutAlternara genus whch were ncreased durng the recent years (2342 publcatons are done between the years of 2010-2014 and 225 publcatons were between the December 17, 2014-May 20, 2015).
Ths study was determned that the 27 Alternara speces were reported from Turkey. Prelmnary of ths work was presented as a poster presentaton n Amsterdam (124) n Aprl 2015. There were 13 speces n mentoned study. My goal s the document the lst of Alternara speces reported from Turkey va publcatons such as journals, boks, proceedng etc.
Methods
The man sources used n ths study are W e b o f S c e n c e D a t a b a s e a n d o t h e r p u b l c a t o n s s u c h a s j o u r n a l s , b o o k s , proceedngs etc. Current fungal names are controlled by www.ndexfungorum.org and www.mycobank.org nternet stes, related books and journals. Accepted names are bold & Italcs. Throughout ths database, I assume that author(s) properly dentfed the speces reported.

If we consder publcatons addressed Turkey, Alternara alternata and Alternara ctr speces are the most common speces reported from Turkey. Accordng to the publshed reports addressed Turkey, there are 30 Alternara speces reported from Turkey.
When we consder more than 275 Alternara speces, number of 30 speces are very less for reported from Turkey. Probably reasons? It s very dffcult for answers. There may be many reasons such as lack of speces n Turkey, wrong dentfcaton, less studes aboutAlternaragenus, the rareness ofAlternaraexpert n Turkey, less of nternatonal collabaraton between the Turksh and the other researchers etc. Ths study may contrbuton to the fungal checklsts of Turkey and next studes aboutAlternaragenus.
