評估使用者介面對臨床診斷決策支援系統使用性的衝擊

Assessing the impact of user interface to the usability of a Clinical

Decision Support System

中文摘要 對一般臨床醫師而言,他們在日常診療工作中經常需要診斷各種不同狀況的病 人。臨床醫師通常也都會以病人本身所出現的症狀或實驗室提出的檢驗數據,再 配合上醫師本身所學的專業知識以及既往的看診經驗而作出診斷決策。在這縝密 的診斷過程中,隨著醫師專業領域以及本身具有經驗的不同,在面對同一症狀時 所制定的診斷也有可能不盡相同,因此臨床診斷決策支援系統就扮演一個非常重 要的輔助角色,它可以透過科學方法提供臨床醫師全方面且客觀的參考資訊。 由於臨床診斷決策支援系統的特性使然,系統最後的輸出結果和使用者給予系統 的輸入條件有著密切的關係。而不同特性的使用者介面將會影響使用者輸入給臨 床診斷決策支援系統的條件。因此也會影響到系統最終的輸出結果。所以在本研 究中將針對不同的使用者介面,評估其對臨床診斷決策支援系統的使用性。本研 究主要評估的使用者介面分為兩種類型。第一型是由使用者主提供輸入條件給系 統(以 keyword 界面為例);第二型是由系統將所有資訊呈現給使用者選擇(以 menu selection 界面為例)。 「使用性」可定義一個系統是否能正確且有效率地幫助使用者完成工作,同時讓 使用者樂於使用該系統。因此在實驗中將建置一個可評估臨床診斷決策支援系統 的工具,並以感染科臨床診斷決策支援系統為例,接著讓測試人員閱讀病例個 案,然後使用評估工具進行測試,此工具將會隨機決定讓測試人員使用何種使用 者介面。藉由此工具進行效率、有效性以及給予使用者正面的使用者經驗三方面 的評估。 效率方面的評估指標為在越短時間內呈現讓使用者滿意的 consult 結果,表示此 介面在效率指標方面越好。而有效性方面的評估指標為系統呈現的 consult 結果 越能讓使用者滿意,表示此介面在有效性指標方面越好。使用者經驗方面的評估 指標為讓使用者覺得喜歡、容易上手並對其診斷時有所幫助的介面,表示在使用 者經驗指標方面越好。 最後本研究的實驗結果為效率方面所有人對關鍵字介面的滿意度遠比選單式介 面來得高,至於有效性方面則無法明顯第看出何種介面滿意度較高的趨勢,而正 面的使用者經驗方面顯示感染科醫師較喜歡關鍵字介面 英文摘要

To a clinician’s work, he often needs to face various patients with different symptoms. A clinician often diagnoses a patient by the patient’s symptoms and the clinician’s professional knowledge and experience. Because of all clinician’s professional ability

and experience are not the same, they may make different clinical decision even face the patients with the same symptoms. In these situations, the clinical decision support system (CDSS) will play an important role. CDSS can offer many important

suggestions to clinicians.

Because of the characteristics of CDSS, the outcome of CDSS relate to the user’s input. Different interface will affect the user’s input, so different interface will affect the outcome of CDSS. We purpose to evaluate usability of user interface of CDSS. We evaluate two user interfaces. First, the user offer information to CDSS by himself (like keywords interface). Second, CDSS presents all information to users (like menu selection interface).

Usability of a computer system can be defined as the capacity of the system to allow users to carry out their tasks safely, effectively, efficiently and enjoyably. For evaluate the usability of interface of CDSS, we purpose to build an evaluation tool. This tool can randomize decide which interface that the test experts use. This tool can evaluate the usability of interface of CDSS in three points — efficiently, effectively enjoyably. Infectious Disease Clinician: infectious disease clinicians will commend keywords interface; other clinicians will commend menu selection interface. Clinicians will commend keywords interface; medical students will commend menu selection interface. Beginners will commend menu selection interface.
