In this course synthesis of a variety of pharmaceutical active ingredients (Iodoform, benzyl alcohol, benzoic acid, p-nitro acetanilide), hydrolysis of aspirin, benzocaine, benzoin, benzyl, benzylic acid synthetic methods are given. The course curriculum also covers the synthesis of compounds such as benzylidene aniline, phenyl azo beta naphthol, ethyl acetate, acetanilide, dibenzalacetone, benzyl phenoxime, diazoaminobenzene.

Dersin Amacı

Aim of this course is to consider the chemical structure and functional groups of the active drugs, selection of the starting materials used in the synthesis of intermediate products and pharmaceutical active compounds and in order to achieve the desired product to gain theoretical and practical knowledge on the applicability of the methods of organic synthesis.
