Tabatabaei* HIRİSTİYANLARIN VAFTİZ RİTUELİ KONUSUNDA KUR’AN YORUMCULARINA BİR ELEŞTİRİ ÖZET Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, pek çok ayetinde ya “Ehl-i Kitâb” ifadesini kullanmış ya da onların bazı akîde ve ibadetlerine vurgu yapmıştır. Konuyla ilgili doğru ve yeterli bilgi sahibi olmayan bazı müfessirlerin konuyu yanlış anladıkları aşikardır. Mesela Allah Teala, Bakara Suresi 138. ayette “İşte Allah’ın vaftizi! Allah’tan daha güzel vaftiz eden var mıdır?” buyurarak bu noktaya işaret etmiştir. Bu makalenin yazarı, müfessirlerin “sıbğa” kelimesi örneinde yorumlarını inceleyerek, Ehl-i Kitâb ile ilgili ritüellerin yeterince bilinemediğini ve bunun için ilmî ve sistematik bir çalışma yapılması gerektiğini önerecektir. Kısacası, “Ehl-i Kitâb”ın akide ve ibadetlerinin doğru, ilmî, ve kaynaklara dayalı olarak bilinmesi “tefsir esasları”na ilave edilmelidir. A CRITICAL REVIEW OF THE HOLY QUR’AN INTERPRETER’S OPINION TO THE CHRISTIAN RITUAL OF BAPTISM ABSTRACT In many of its verses, the Holy Qur’an has addressed “People of the Book” or pointed out their religious beliefs and rituals. It seems, however, that the interpreters have in some cases spoken of those verses in a way inconsistent with reality due to their lack of accurate and comprehensive knowledge concerning their beliefs and rituals. For instance, Almighty God has pointed to the Baptism Ritual in verse 138, Surat al-Baqara: “The baptism (Sibghah) of Allah, and who baptizes better than Allah?” In this article, the writer has critically reviewed the words of interpreters in the interpretation of “Sibgha” (as an example), and suggested that their religious knowledge is not wellresearched, scholarly, and systematic one.
